Not quite as large as Mann's Harbor, Fairfield is a pretty lakeside city. It's main income comes from the many fisherman who come through the area for the calm fishing, hunting, and nature reserves... Or those passing through to Manns Harbor or Roanoke Island. Fairfield and it's surrounding area is rather popular for it's fish, game, and other outdoor activities, such as hiking or camping.

The largest city in the area, Manns Harbor is a popular tourist destination that has bolstered the local economy. To date, Manns Harbor boasts sandy beaches, luxury resorts, a rather well-known amusement park, access to the nearby Roanoke Island and nature reserves, the largest university in the area.

A small fishing town located on the coast, Stumpy Point is a charming little country town with not much to offer besides a charming community, historical district, and some more rustic scenery. Most those living here are generations of farmers, fishermen or owners of the local stores, and a steady stream of those who pass by on their way to Mann's Harbor.

Once the site of the infamous Roanoke Colony that disappeared without a trace centuries ago, Fort Raleigh is now a historic site popular with those who enjoy exploring the famous historic mystery. From time to time, the park hosts events such as fairs or historic re-enactments for the education of the general public.

Nearly a second half to Manns Harbor, Manteo is the largest city on Roanoke Island, thriving off Manns Harbor's tourism trade as well as it's close proximity to the lost colony- it's popular with history buffs. Manteo is also home to a rather prestigious private Academy with high standards for what students they take on.
